Ready or not...Here we go!!

This morning, while changing Kailey's stinky diaper:

Kailey: Mom...is that yucky?

Mom: Yes Kailey, but when you are ready, you can go to the potty on the toilet so you don't have to have poppies in your pants anymore.

Apparently she took it to heart because a few hours later, she asked the girls to go out of the bathroom so she could go potty. We all just kind of laughed, but, sure enough, she did it. she took off her diaper, put the potty seat on, climbed up by herself, and even wiped. After she was done, she grabbed a clean diaper out of the cupboard and brought it to me. She is so smart! The funny thing was is that she kind of acted like it was no big deal and seemed to wonder why we made such a big deal of it screaming "YEA KAILEY WENT POTTY ON THE TOILET" plus, everyone had to come and see for themselves.

I knew she was getting ready to be potty trained, but I have been holding off so that I could be ready. She is 2 1/2 so I guess she is calling the shots on this and going to get me ready whether I like it or not!:)

Already Preparing for a Career on Stage!!:)

"...and a child shall lead them..."

Mother's day was a hard day this year so I sat down after all the kids went to bed, and turned on a "chick flick". (Let me back up and say that we do not allow the TV on, on Sunday's unless it is a church movie). Anyway, while I was watching my show, Sadie got out of bed and went into the bathroom, then went to hop in my bed, saying nothing. Well, when I got in bed, after my movie, she said to me..."I hope that show was 'Sunday proof' mom." YIKES!!! She was not disrespectful at all with how she said it, it was just that she wanted me to know that she had noticed and was watching out for me. Now I guess you know what my mother's day resolution is!:)

She is such a good girl!! She amazes me!

We Have a Hero Among Us!

Our Family ARMY Party!
This game was planned and carried out by Aubrey.
It was, pin the nose on the ARMY Guy!

This was our, Landmine Game. (the balloons were landmines and you had to retrieve a grenade: (pop-rocks attached a a round balloon, without touching a landmine)

Our last family picture with
all of us together for a while...
Saying goodbyes at the hotel , the night before dad shipped out. We had spent a nice day together as a family!

We thought the pictures above would be our last time to see our army guy but we had a pleasant surprise when he woke me the next morning telling us we could meet him at the M.E.P.S office and see him be sworn in.

After seeing him be sworn in, we followed him over to the airport to spend a few more minutes together.
We Love You Daddy!
We are so proud of him for choosing to serve our country! We know this was the right thing for our family to do at this time, and though there will be challenges ahead, we know we will continue to be led and blessed as we follow where the Lord wants us to go!
"...for He shall, direct of thy paths."

San Diego Sunny Fun!

Gotta love Balboa park!

The kids loved this dancing car.

There were so many beautiful flowers! The orange one is pretty too!:)
These street performers were so cool. they were painted to look like metal and acted like robots.
That has got to be one of my favorite park! Free fun to last a whole day + some!! We love to explore and there was lots to be had that day!

The Beach!
We had a family photo session one night on the beach with Jason's cousin but the pictures got erased!:( the kids had so much fun running away from the waves that night that we had to go back to the same spot and try it again. We did not leave as dry as we had the first time.
Last stop: Sea World!!

checking out the maps, ready to plan the day!Dad and K waiting for one of the shows to start. We were really impressed with all the shows and even saw a few of them twice. Kinda sad that one of the kid's favorites was the dog and cat show at Sea World!:)

Just waiting! I could just eat her up!:)

The kid's favorite thing about Sea world was the new Atlantis ride. It was the first and the last thing we did there. They rode it ten times or more and were happy it wasn't like waiting in a ride line at Disneyland.
Shamu Shpamu...what's all the hype about?
and waiting...

Yikes! Bad hair day!:/
